After a 12 year career in the British Army, during which he qualified as a Helicopter Pilot, Dave took up a position flying helicopters on the North Sea based in the North East of Scotland and later in the Southern North Sea in Norfolk. After 11 years on North Sea operations he left for a short period flying Twin Turbo-prop aircraft on Charter and Night Mail work around Europe. In 1992 he moved to West Africa and joined Aero Contractors Nigeria, a subsidiary of the Dutch "Schreiner Aviation Group" of companies. Once again flying helicopters in the company's onshore and offshore Oil Industry support work. Within a short period he became the Operations Manager for the Rotary Wing operations and 5 years later moved from Nigeria to the Schreiner Group Headquarters in Holland, where he took over operational management of their Dutch sector North Sea helicopter operations.
In 1998 he became the Director of Operations for the Schreiner Groups worldwide Oil & Gas Support Division managing operations around the globe. Whilst in this function he also held the position of Chairman of the Schreiner Group Safety Board. Throughout his career, not only has he gained significant experience in both commercial and operational aviation management, his additional experience in the introduction and implementation of Aviation Quality & Safety Management systems in some extremely remote and difficult working environments has given him significant experience in this field.
After leaving The Schreiner Group in 2005, he formed his own Aviation Consultancy Company before teaming up with the other Directors to create Prism-Safety Limited. During the last 4 years he has been carrying out aviation consultancy work in Kenya, Russia and Brazil whilst at the same time developing the Prism product.
After leaving the army in 1990 as a helicopter pilot, having served for 17 years, Graham went to work for Bristow Helicopters in Aberdeen and flew Super Pumas for a couple of years before hearing the 'call of the wild' and transferring to Nigeria on Bell 212's. Within 2 years of arriving in Africa he was also carrying out the role of Health & Safety Manager for the company in support of offshore oil companies in Africa, including Shell and Exxon-Mobil. Amongst his responsibilities was the liaison and implementation of Safety Management Systems to offshore operator specification. Working 'hand in hand' with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria he was one of the first to produce a 'Safety Case' for aircraft operations and the development of an aviation safety management system.
He was invited to join the Shell Aircraft forum which developed the template for the Aviation Safety Management System and which has been accepted globally as the standard. He was also a member of the team that developed the first safety case for the new Osubi airfield, built by Shell in the city of Warri.
In early 2000 he founded HSE Management Systems and gave up flying to follow his new career path and quickly became involved with the Schreiner Aviation Group where he was able to develop specific systems for both fixed and rotary wing. During this time, he started developing blueprints for an Integrated Safety & Quality Management System and the possibility of making it web based, it was at this point that he started working together with Erik, Dave and others to bring the plan to fruition.
Graham demonstrated the potential of the system to the 2004 EHOC conference in Berlin to wide acclaim and also went on to give a presentation before the underwriters at Lloyds of London. This resulted in a reduction in insurance premiums for the Schreiner group.
In the ensuing years he has presented, written, implemented and trained integrated quality and safety management systems and safety cases for companies across the globe.
He and the other directors founded PRISM-Safety Ltd in January 2006
He is a full member of the 'International Institute of Risk and Safety Management' and holds the Diploma in Safety Management.
After working for around 18 years as programmer/software designer for several companies in the Netherlands, Erik moved to the Schreiner Aviation Group in Hoofddorp (The Netherlands) as external programmer. His task was to create the first ever web-based Safety Management System. In 2004 he formed his own ICT company from which he has held several positions in ICT departments of banking companies as senior programmer and Dutch Automotive Industry (RDC) as test coordinator. Meanwhile he teamed up with the other directors of Prism-Safety Ltd to develop the Prism product. More recently he has been engaged by Shell Aircraft International to provide them with high end software for managing the activities of their advisors and tracking the audits of their wide ranging contractors.
In Prism-Safety Ltd he is accountable for all ICT related items varying from development and enhancements of the system to server maintenance and data security policies.
