Maldivian Air Taxi, home of the famous 'barefoot pilots' is based on the airport island of Hulhule, a short 'Dhoni' ride across the sea from the capital of Male.
They currently operate a fleet of 20 De-Havilland DHC 6 Twin Otter floatplanes however, this is expected to rise to 25 aircraft at the height of the tourist season. They are presently flying approximately 2,800 people per day around the islands.
Following an in depth presentation of the capabilities of the PRISM-Safety system, meetings were held with the Quality, Safety and IT departments who all gave PRISM their seal of approval.
Mr A.U.M. Fawzy, the General Manager of Maldivian Air Taxi and Graham Walker signed the Service Level Agreement on Sunday 6th September, thereby signalling the start of a long term relationship between the two companies.
